The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77ER does protrude from the bumper. I spoke to a contact at Curt and he did not have the length the receiver came out from the bumper.
We measured the hitch and from the first mounting hole to edge of the receiver is 12 1/2". You can use that dimension to measure out that distance from the mounting point under the frame on your Mustang to see exactly where the receiver will sit. view full answer...
I spoke with both Draw-Tite and Curt about a hitch for your 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and I did come up with an option for you. The Draw-Tite # DT92MR has not yet been confirmed to fit, but the Curt # C77ER has.
